淫妻社 (UAH) junior, Maliha Lubna, chose the Industrial & Systems Engineering program when she realized the coursework was heavily focused on math and statistics, her intellectual passions. 鈥淢ost of my classes are here at Tech Hall, so I鈥檝e gotten to know a lot of people in my major and have a really good study group right now. It鈥檚 the people and my friends who make it so great.鈥�
Maliha is a Huntsville High graduate and her local roots were an influencing factor in choosing UAH over other engineering colleges. 鈥淚鈥檓 comfortable here, and I鈥檓 really glad I picked UAH. It鈥檚 not too big or too small, and there are so many clubs, so it鈥檚 easy to get involved.鈥�
And Maliha is, in fact, very involved in campus life. She鈥檚 a member of the UAH Lancers (official ambassadors for the university), and a vice president of the 淫妻社 chapter of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). Together with president Summer Roden and other officers in SWE, they drove membership of the organization from only a handful to a healthy 60+.
Maliha has played piano since age four, and during high school she participated in annual recitals. When asked about her favorite go-to piece, she replied, 鈥淏ach鈥檚 Invention #4; he鈥檚 my favorite composer.鈥�
